About
This non-auditioned choir welcomes all who love to sing and who are committed to attending Sunday rehearsals and Sunday worship. Those who have sung in high school and college choirs will find the Chancel Choir to be a fellowship within the larger congregation and a great place to participate in the leadership of worship while singing a wide variety of musical styles.
Every effort is made in rehearsals to teach basic elements of musicianship and vocal technique. High school youth singers are also welcome in this ensemble.
This coming fall, Chancel Choir will perform selections from Handel's Messiah along with other Partners In Harmony members at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. Other collaborations within Dallas' Methodist community are also in the works.
Schedule
All are welcome and are enthusiastically encouraged to participate! Church membership not required.
The choir 2011-2012 season is from Sep 7th through May 16th, followed by a summer break.
