Community Involvement
We are a community church, firmly grounded in the community around us. Our members live, work, and play in the the north Oak Cliff area. As a community church, we like to work with local charities and organizations.
Supporting Our Community
To help local community groups, we offer up our facilities for use free of charge for meetings and events (neighborhood associations, AA, Al-Anon, Reiki Fellowship, etc). Please contact our Office Manager, Ken Surley, for details.
Supporting Local Organizations
Many of our outreach events or monthly missions focus on local charities and organizations, such as The Well, The Rose Garden, and Oak Cliff Churches for Emergency Aid.
Supporting Our Planet
We believe in good stewardship of God's creation. We recycle paper and electronics, print our bulletins on recycled paper, and encourage members to bike or car pool to church. Learn ways Kessler Park UMC is working towards a greener congregation.
