CHILDREN

KPUMC Children’s Sunday School classes, modeled after the rotational system, provide your child with the Biblical knowledge that will become the foundation of his or her faith. Each Sunday there is a Bible lesson and a child-centered activity to reinforce the learning. (www.rotation.org)

The program invites children to experience Bible lessons through interaction with the text, utilizing seven unique workshops through which they rotate during a given unit of learning.

The workshops introduce the historical and cultural significance of the Bible text as well as introducing God’s Holy Word in ways which encourage age appropriate assimilation of Bible knowledge for spiritual growth and development.

• Children have fun as they learn experientially.
• Adult leaders enjoy sharing their special talents with children from Pre-K through 6th..
• The younger children have their own adult Shepherds who lead them to workshops and remain with them throughout Sunday School.

A gathering time is held in Fellowship Hall prior to workshops during which the children and their adult teachers/leaders;

• Share breakfast snacks
• Sing favorite hymns and songs
• Bring their gifts and offerings for Christ’s ministry
• Review the memory verse for the unit of learning
• Pray together
• Line up with teachers who lead them to their workshop
• Re-gather in Fellowship Hall following workshops, to better accommodate families picking them up for worshipNursery and Toddlers
